MERBES-SPRIMONT is a group of companies active on a worldwide scale in the natural stone business.
Marble business
In Portugal, the group operates in 18 quarries of Rosa Aurora and Ruivina marbles.
The extraction is assumed by our sister company SOLUBEMA while its subsidiary ETMA transforms our own production as well as other materials bought in blocks from external quarries (Azul Cascais, Brecha Tavira, Moka, Moleanos, Richeval).
In Belgium, through the company LES CARRIERES DE MARBRE NOIR DE GOLZINNE we quarry the genuine Belgian Black marble.
The quarry MARBRE ROUGE DE HAUMONT is producing the famous Belgian Red Marble (Griotte and Royal) and The Ardennes Grey.
MERBES-SPRIMONT - MARPIC, has a plant in Huizingen which transforms and stocks the most requested varieties of marble, granite and quartz products on the European market.
Granite business
The sawing and the polishing activity is handled by a de MERBES-SPRIMONT factory named "La Buissière" which is located near the French border. "La Buissière" is highly specialized in the production of polished slabs.
